Meet Our Talented Team
Our Registered Dental Hygienists (RDH)
Jill, RDH
Jill started working in the dental field while she was still in High School. After graduation she went on to post-secondary school at Pennsylvania College of Technology where she attained her Dental Hygiene degree. After many years with a periodontist Jill brought her talents to Hengst Family Dentistry and has been a member of our hygiene department since 2007. She combines an extremely gentle touch with thorough care and patient education. This has established a very dedicated patient base that trust Jill with their care.
Jill and her two children enjoy doing DIY house and garden projects together. When she’s not in the dental office she can be found in the gym working on her fitness and nutrition program which she is quite passionate about. Christina, RDH
Christina attended the University of Maryland and Baltimore City College where she graduated in 1982 with a degree in dental hygiene and education. As a dental professional, Tina has had the privilege of working many years for a periodontal practice, eight years teaching at Harrisburg Area Community College in the Dental Hygiene program, and since 2010 as a member of Hengst Family Dental hygiene team. Her goal has always been to care and educate patients and to give them an awareness of how to better care for their oral health and over all well being.
Her interests are many, She enjoys tennis, golf, yoga and tap dancing. Tina enjoys being with family and friends and is especially enjoying her most recent role as a Grandmother. |

Michelle has the distinction of being the longest running member of our team. She has been with the practice since 2002. After graduating from The Academy of Medical Arts and Business in 1996 she started her dental career as a pediatric dental assistant. It did not take long for her to decide that she wanted to continue her education and become a dental hygienist. She graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2001 at the top of her dental hygiene class. Creating a strong rapport and trusting relationships with her patients is a top priority while providing high quality care.
Shannon, RDHShannon started her dental career in 2012, after receiving her bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from the Pennsylvania College of Technology. She has been part of the Hengst Family Dental team since 2018. Her greatest joy in her work comes from creating smiles from her gentle touch and a friendly rapport.
Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She married her high school sweetheart in 2013, and since 2015 they have owned and operated a small farm in Juniata County. Her biggest blessing, though, has been the role of “mama” to her two extraordinary children. |
